Alaminos' Hundred Islands is sooo Beautiful that you deserve the nicest Tour Guide
The tourist center of 100-islands made it pretty easy for tourists to take guided tours. I wish island tours where as systematic as theirs. When you arrive at the wharf you'd simply (1) Select the Tour, (2) Pay for the Tour and (3) They assign you a boat includes your boatman who is at the same time your tour guide.I was so delighted to have met our bangkero who's name is Victor. Reason why I had to create this post just for him.
Just so you know you the Tourist Information Center offers the following tour options:
- Day Tour
- Service Boat (renting boat privately)
- An Overnight Stay in the Hundred Islands, including a Day Tour
The Service Boat seemed to be the best option, this way you are privileged to stay as long as you want in certain attractions. And with a boatman like ours, our Island experience was superb! He knew exactly how to take us around in a sound and timely manner.
Victor, our boatman, not only took us to the popular islands (Governors Island, Quezon Island, Marcos Island and Children's Island.). He was so kind to also take us to the not-so-popular but beautiful islands. I also requested for a snorkeling spot and it was just awesome!! As the corals were beautiful, including the fishes, and huge clams! Our tour started around 12noon but apart from the many islands we visited, we still had time to trek a bit to see the cave.
Victor is probably in his mid 40s and he grew in this same town - which is a great because I heard more stories than I expected. This guy is also a top notch in taking pictures. Got a DSLR? He knows how to use it and he loved taking photos for us! I have to say Victor is very respectful, quiet a shy type but he's well knowledgeable for his job - ask him anything!

Contact Victor - Hundred Island Boatman
Victor's mobile number is 0946-342-5772, please don't forget to mention you took his number from us here at Beachelor. We sporadically communicate via text so I'm certain that his mobile number still works.
How much was the boat rate? I texted the boatman's number and still waiting for the reply.
ReplyDeleteI contacted him today and he said he'll get in touch with you. You have to register at the tourism center before you enter the wharf. The rate would range from 800 up to 2000, depending on the number of pax.
